OMV Awarded 4 New Licences in APA 2024

All the production licences (PL 1276, PL 1274, PL 1194 C, PL 1272) are located in the Norwegian Sea and are gas prospects. OMV has been granted operatorship for 3 of the 4 awarded licenses.

Awards in Predefined Areas (APA) is an annual exploration round for the most mature areas of the Norwegian continental shelf. 

In total, 20 companies were offered interests in one or more of various production licences. 13 companies are offered one or more operatorships. A binding work program is linked to the licences. Of the 53 production licences offered in APA 2024, 33 are located in the North Sea, 19 in the Norwegian Sea, and 1 in the Barents Sea.
